So here is the concept. A single prix fixe menu of $11, Italian home cooked meal and great service. No wonder it is a winner! The menu changes from day to day, and you can get a chance to preview what they are serving that day, by going to their website. But what is all the fun in that? I say, skip the preview and take your chances as the meal is bound to be awesome. When I was there, the menu was egg and spinach soup; pasta with sardines (it was St. Jospeh's Day); Foccacia and meatballs. Everything was delicious. And for anyone who knows me, knows that I almost never eat fish. This is why I say, don't look at the menu, if you can, as I almost missed out. However, with a little prodding from my wife, I went with it and it turned out to be a really nice surprise. Rounded off the meal with a nice Zeppeli stuffed with ricotta and topped with powder sugar and with one of the largest (and yummy) cappucino's I have ever seen. So if you want delicous food, good service and a price that is hard to beat, plan on coming here. Whether or not you preview the menu or just go for it; that I leave to you.

Need Italian cakes and pastries? This is your number one stop in Palm Beach County. This small family owned shop has amazing desserts and even gluten free options. I have been going here since the opening in 2007. Note to locals: The daily lunch is great home cooking served in several courses for a great price.

Searching on Yelp for a Gluten Free place to make cupcakes for my Engagement Party. I came across Cosa Duci Italian Bakery. When I walked in I was welcomed and I am assuming the owner was the one who helped me out to place my order. She was so friendly and helpful. The place is very cozy and so much yummy goods to look at when you arrive. I loved that they had a "Gluten Free" section. I was going a bit crazy trying to find a good place to order these cupcakes from. I am so happy I found this place! I ordered 12 gluten free vanilla with chocolate frosting cupcakes and since I did not want to go to another place to order regular cupcakes I decided to order them from here too. I placed an order of 6 vanilla and chocolate frosting and 6 chocolate and vanilla frosting. The real test of how good the cupcakes were was when everyone tried them at the party. The gluten free cupcakes were AMAZING! full of flavor and the frosting was DELICIOUS! Everyone raved about them. The regular cupcakes were also delicious. Definitely consider this place if you are looking for dessert- especially gluten free dessert. They make customized cakes, cupcakes, etc. I will definitely be back again for future orders. Thank you for my delicious cupcakes!

Little door, on the inside corner of a small plaza... If you blink, you miss it but, word has it they're moving to a bigger place soon. Which is good news for all of us that love their food and sometimes have to wait to be seated - very popular at lunch time. When they do, we'll all fit including the passion and love they put in their food. You walk in and you immediately feel the family atmosphere. The mom cooks (delicious, I may add) and the "kids" help. They're all very friendly and always happy to see you. Always with a smile and very attentive. Once you're seated they start serving - they don't have a menu, whatever she cooked that day is what you get, and all for $10. This time we started with an amazing soup with freshly baked bread on the side. Next was a Mediterranean cold pasta salad with meatballs on the side, and a ricotta & spinach filled croissant. Whatever you chose to drink is also included. To let you know how amazing the food is, my sister is a very picky eater not once has she said no to one of their dishes. As if all that wasn't enough, they bake too. Good luck choosing between all the biscotti, cookies, pastries. When you do, enjoy with a cup of coffee made there too. This little place is big on everything else. You definitely have to come see all it has to offer.

Awesome good, authentic Sicilian Italian food. This from an authentic Sicilian Italian who doesn't give kudos lightly when it comes to my native dishes. Wonderful baked goods, too. Go find this place - you'll find a treasure!

Hidden gem tucked away in East Boca. Go for the lunch and each day it is something different but delicious. Make sure you go early as they do run out. 11:30-12 is recommended. Great pastries too. Excellent homemade food
(5)Linda T.
great lunch of homemade ravioli and eggplant parmesan with soup. capaccino was delicious as where the cannolis. wonderful service, even got a few yummy cookies to take home. I would highly recommend this spot hidden away in a plaza.

This place is as good as it gets! My favorite restaurant both for the food and the people who work here.

I was like a little girl yesterday morning since I was so excited to finally get to try this place. I was meeting a couple girlfriends there but since I got there first I went in to avoid the heat and turns out they have couches and chairs in an area that looks like a tea room. So cute. As soon as I opened the door to the restaurant, there were so many delicious looking pastries and desserts in the display. I was so excited. There was even a display rack with cookie jars and the cookies looked so good. I just wanted to open up a cookie jar and help myself. The way it's decorated makes it feel more like a home than a restaurant. And the owner and all the staff are so friendly that you just want to kick off your shoes and spend time with the family. It's just so comfortable. The food tastes amazing and doesn't taste anything like typical restaurant food. It taste more like something homemade that a mother or grandmother made; like they made it with "love". They post the lunch of the day on their website each morning and it's really fair priced. On my visit we had Stracciatella soup (egg soup with spinach), a meatball sandwich and mint couscous with summer squash. I'm not a big meatball fan but these were delicious and the sandwich was so big that you had to use a knife and fork. I also want to mention that the owner's son has Multiple Scierosis, so she donates a portion of the restaurants earnings to help with research to find a cure for MS. What a wonderful way to give back through baking and cooking. Can't wait to come back and bring my mother; she'll love it too.

Love this place. Feels like your grandmother made you lunch. It's a "whatever we made today you eat" lunch which is great because you never know what new interesting good you might get to try. Have been here for business lunches and everyone loved it. The bakery...OMG. Love the cappuccino as well. Can't say one negative comment!

WOW! Great family owned business. As authentic Italian as you can possibly get. I ordered upon a recommendation from an extremely sweet lady behind the counter the apricot pastry and a Latte and sat outside to enjoy a few minutes to myself before work . The Latte came out with a homemade biscotti spoon dipped in chocolate and the apricot pastry had been warmed to just slightly above oh my god! WOW! i said it again, this is one of my new favorite places. I even ordered several different types of their Homemade Italian Cookies to share with people at work. Little tip, If you ever have to sit in a three hour boring meeting, Bring these cookies along, they are guaranteed to change everyone's attitude :) I have to return to sample their other wonderful fares they offer on their lunch menu as well.
(4)Joel K.
Soup--loaded with black pepper. Let me decide if and how much I want. Lasagna--very good and well seasoned. Chicken Marsala-- no Marsala taste and chicken too thick to absorb the dressing. Scone--the fruit in it was rock-hard and tasteless. Nice service and pleasant place.

From the moment I walked in, I felt the warm welcome. The people in the press photos on the wall are the ones in the kitchen. Sylvia, one of the restaurant familia, was happy to jump around the counter and manually walk me through the delicacy that is each of her desserts. The time and labor of love that goes into their daily deliciousness was evident. Decided on a tiramisu. Best. Decision. Ever. And right as I was savoring the last bite, who should come over? The head chef apron adorned in flour and chocolate and all. They have WiFi. And how can you not love a place that plays Italian programming on its TVs? Remember to show your "check-in" for a discount. Grazie! Sucha treat! Definitely coming back.

I recommend this place to everyone who loves Italian food & great service. It is such a joy to eat here. Not to mention, the cause is wonderful. I only have amazing things to say about this place. Don't forget to buy some baked goods before you leave, the cannolis were out of this world.
(5)Ken H.
family owned, family recipes! Yum yum. I even worked there few days. Highest quality ingredients and the sweetest owners!
(5)Dani L.
Don't let this little place fool you - they make the BEST biscotti cookies I have ever tasted! Silvia makes beautifully designed (and tasting) celebration cakes too. For lunch, they offer one full meal choice - but it will be the best, homemade Italian meal you've had in awhile! (Especially the soups and foccacia breads) Perfect last minute gift idea - beautifully boxed cookies. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
(5)Linda B.
The new location is great. The food is home cooked and divine!
(5)Foodies O.
This place is amazing! The apricot croissant was very crispy, flaky, and sweet. Not too buttery or "sticky" as some sweet croissants can get. It was the perfect texture and filled with a thick gooey apricot center. The mini anise cookies were very flavorful. These would pair perfect with either a shot of espresso or Earl Grey tea. The biscotti were also a perfect consistency, firm with a good crunch, but not solid. These are perfect on their own, or also dipped in coffee or tea.

a small bakery turned lunch spot, there is no menu here. just walk in, and whatever the sicilian grandma has made that day, you get to eat. you get 3 courses for $10, it's a really great value. and it's all delicious. you start with a soup, something like red bean & spinach or italian split pea. then you get a pasta course, or maybe some risotto even. to finish there is some kind entree, such as roasted sausage & potato, italian meatloaf topped with prosciutto & melted mozzarella, or meatballs in marinara. all served with amazing focaccia bread. the portions are perfect, so that you have just enough room at the end for an espresso and a taste of one of the fresh pastries, like cannoli, biscotti, or cheesecake. this has a wonderful homestyle feel to it, and you'll think you're in sicily. fantastic little place.
(4)Theresa T.
This is a place where you feel like you've been invited into grandma's kitchen for a family meal. I ordered the lunch special, not knowing much about Italian food. And yum! We actually blew a month long gluten-free diet, and do not feel remotely guilty. Definitely the place to indulge in lunch. specials, bread and deserts! (I can run a few extra miles at the gym.) My favorite part of visit, was seeing the sweet elder owner coming out from counter to greet her new customers. (She caught me literally licking my bowl after consuming a plate of meatloaf and pasta. Argh, embarrassing!)
(5)Casey F.
Wonderful little bakery with quaint atmosphere and great food! I had the chcolate cake ball and a Chai tea latte, and they complimented each other wonderfully! The latte was not sickeningly sweet, and the chocolate was rich and warm. I am so glad to have found my future hangout!
(5)Patty W.
Oh my sweet heaven! This cute bakery is filled with lots of goodies and the decor is super adorable. I stopped in here to get some treats for dessert tonight and I got a free cappuccino by checking in. I'm not a fan of cappuccinos, but the one I had today was delicious. They added a dollop of caramel flavoring and I would definitely get it again. Since there was so many options to choose from, I settled for a tiramisu, chocolate chip cannoli, and a Nutella croissant. My favorite was the croissant. It was amazing! The staff was very nice and friendly and the place is spotless. However, I didn't realize they serve food here as well. I can only imagine how good that is. Looks like I'll be making another appearance to try that out in the near future!

Found this hidden jewel buried under deep construction in East Boca....The service is friendly, the pastries are divine and available in large or small portions! Sylvia was wonderful introducing me to some delicious Italian pastry for Easter...Everything is homemade with Mama in the back making it all lovingly....Rare in South Florida!! Moderately priced, its worth every penny spent!
(5)Regina K.
This little bakery is tucked off the main road but definitely worth a visit. Various Italian cookies and pastries including many gluten free options. Everything is baked fresh and the lunch menu is family style, changing depending on the day. Very cute and cozy atmosphere for a cup of coffee and a treat.
(4)Joe L.
Amazing food and atmosphere, the staff/owners are amazingly attentive and pleasant to speak with. I had split pea soup, ravioli, meatballs and focaccia which were also amazing. I will be back very soon to try the desserts and other items. The menu changes daily which keeps things interesting.

One of the best pastries that i have had in a long time, plus the service and atmosphere is awesome. I loved it.

Best Italian Food i've found in America after traveling to all 48 intercontinental United States. Better than New York's Little Italy, etc... Reminds me of being back in Italy back in 2005. Flavors and recipes are purely authentic and hand-made. Also, very humble and kind staff. 5 stars! Sicilian Grandmother comes in every morning to make a 3 course lunch menu from scratch. You pay $12 and get the course of the day. The Cafe is decorated like her living room. Plate sets, dining room, all authentic. Check the website to find out what the menu is for that day.
(5)Marcos C.
Lunch was amazing! You get so much for $10! Unbelievable! This is old world Italian food at its finest!

I was in Boca for a wedding the second to last weekend of March. My mom was telling me about an authentic Italian Bakery. I love sweets and Italian food -- what girl doesn't?? I wrote down the name of the bakery and made it a point to stop by while I was in town for some delicious eats. It's located in an office park and if you blink you'll miss the sign. I came in 10 minutes before lunch was over and saw the daily special for $10: soup, pasta, sausage and potatoes plus a drink. I couldn't say no, I could smell the food cooking in the back and my belly was grumbling. The lovely ladies let me pick a seat and were very attentive. On my way out I grabbed some biscotti for my mom. They're homemade right in their shop in Boca and there were about 15 - 20 different flavors. The best part is they're going to start selling their biscotti at Whole Foods in Florida. I can't wait to go back down South, I'm definitely stopping in Boca Raton to visit Cosa Duci!

I'd like to mention that a few months after I posted this review, the owner reached out to me and asked me to come in and let her make it right. Unfortunately, at that point, life intervened and I never got there to take her up on her offer. Kudos to her for contacting me and my bad for not trying again but I couldn't make it over there---I hope its improved and some day I might drop in and try again. I'll let you know if I do!
(3)Stephanie M.
Everything here is absolutely delicious and authentic from the daily lunch to the desserts and coffee. The eggplant caponata is my favorite! Great service and a welcoming family atmosphere. Dogs are even welcomed at the outdoor tables and our pugs love their cookies!
(5)Jenifer M.
As authentically Italian as you will ever find. Cosa Duci is my favorite bakery in South Florida. I love that it is Italian-owned and that you can watch RAI when you're there having lunch or coffee. The mother-daughter owners, Giovanna and Silvia, know a lot about how to make their customers feel special, like family. I order their delectable cookie platters for both holiday gatherings with friends/family and also as client holiday giftsbecause they have beautiful packaging. Their pastries are so good, too, and the best profiterole, cannoli and sfinge I've ever had. I also love their gluten-free products, especially their gluten-free tiramisu. And, of course, it's the best cappuccino you will find. You also won't find a better deal for lunch. It's chef's choice and they include a soup, homemade foccaccia and an entree that consists of two dishes, such as chicken parmagiana with baked ziti. Last time I was there this was all included for only $11. It doesn't matter what they serve because everything is excellent. It's kind of like in Italy when you visit your Mamma or Nonna for lunch and you're always being pleasantly surprised because she's such a good cook. As if all of that were not enough, it's a beautiful and charming location and Silvia has done a beautiful job decorating it with antiques and tea sets and charming baskets. I buy my olive oil here, too, because they have a section of imported Italian foods. I'm very grateful to have Cosa Duci right near my home!

THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD OUTSIDE OF ITALY! This is as authentic as it gets, folks. Giovanna has a God-given talent for cooking, baking and making you feel like part of the family. (I wish she was my Grandma for real.) Show up for lunch between 11:30 and 2:00 and prepare to feast on a fresh and ever-changing menu of Italian magic. She cooks whatever is market-fresh and she's in the mood to make. Today, on the menu was Red Bean & Spinach Soup, Veggie Farfalle Boscaiola, Chicken Marsala and Focaccia Bread followed by Cappuccino and an array of baked delights. We were served family-style and didn't want to waste a bite. Anything we couldn't fit in our stomachs, we asked to take home in boxes. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say I had some of the best-tasting food of my life. Especially the sweet stuff. And how much will this unforgettable food experience cost you? A mere $11. That's it! BOTTOM LINE: This is one offer you can't refuse.
(5)Brian R.
The bakery is five star. You meet Giovanna, your official baking Italian grandmother for your trip into her fine establishment, and you are transported back to the kind of old-world bakery that has been all but lost to supermarkets and places like Grammas that short-cut using nasty cheap high fructose corn syrup in their baked goods (ugh). The service is gracious and amazing. Their espresso machine is top of the line. I tap them down one star because the coffee is more espresso Americano. Per piacere: Si usciate Illy, Lavazza, qualcosa Italiano che non e amaro. Bring it on and you get that last well deserved star. Burnt espresso roast detracts from the perfection. The tiramisu? Da morire!
(4)Jordanna E.
If the rating was purely for hospitality, it would be 5+ stars. Everyone was so sweet and kind, and you did feel very much at home, despite being in a warehouse bay. Realistically though, food is half the battle, and I was disappointed on that end. It was the family and I on New Years, and the menu of the day was some kind of tomato soup, meatballs marinara and roasted eggplant salad. The soup was good, my kids liked it and the portion size was on point. The accompanying bread was cake like and interesting. The roasted eggplant salad was cold, not what I was expecting, but nonetheless I was ready for anything and excited about it, but it was soooo salty, I couldn't eat it...and I LOVE salt. The two meatballs were good, but a tad bit on the dry side. I was super pleased that they had Orangina to drink though...that alone made me smile... When I was done with my two meatballs, because the eggplant wasn't getting any better...I had to have something else, so I wandered off to the bakery window, and saw an interesting brownie like thing, I asked what it was and was told it was a muti-layer brownie of some type. I got it and couldn't even bite into it. It was rock hard, and just not good. Bland..nothing to write home about. Still not wanting to give up, I ordered a whole cake to take home. The Tiramasu looked great, so I ordered it. I had guests over the next night and was so excited to take it out, and what?! That's not the cake I saw, this one had barely any cocoa dusted on top of it, like they one I saw...oh well... I'm sure it will still be great. We cut into it and dove in, it was the driest Tiramasu ever, with no taste of coffee whatsoever.... maybe someone missed that step in the baking process? it was embarrassing. Last but not least, don't offer such a ridiculous "Yelp Check In Offer." 50% off one Bakery Item on Saturdays between 3pm-4pm? Might as well add another stipulation to that...like you must be wearing a green hat. So $80 later, and a 40 minute drive there and back....I won't be rushing back there, but if I am in the area I would give them another chance, based on the kindness exuded from everyone who worked there.

AMAZING! I'd heard wonderful things about this place for almost a year before I finally made the trek up from Pompano to visit, and let me tell you it was 100% worth it! The food was as authentic as it gets and delicious. Reminds me of having dinner with my family. Be forewarned: there is no menu for the lunch food here; just like at Mom's house, you show up and eat whatever is being served that day. For $11 though, it's a total steal - you get some DELICIOUS bread, a cup of soup, and an entree with a side (we had meat lasagna with eggplant salad). I especially love how this place is owned by a sweet mother-daughter duo who are busy working the register and lovingly making the food, and their mission to support MS research. Can't wait to go back!
